It’s official: G2 signed SunPayus, MATYS, sAw coach and sheddan assistant
After an unstable first half of the season, G2 officially announced the changes, strengthening the roster with four new members at once. Two players joined the team – sniper Alvaro “SunPayus” Garcia and riffler Matush “MATYS” Shimko, as well as new head coach Eetu “sAw” Sakha and assistant coach sheddan.
From the previous roster, huNter-, malbsMd and HeavyGod remained, while it is huNter- who will take on the role of captain.
Joining SunPayus and MATYS
SunPayus is having the best individual season of its career, with an average rating of 6.8 in 2025. As part of HEROIC, he became a key figure and helped the team stay in the top 10 of the world ranking.
MATYS, on the other hand, moves to G2 as a promising player with limited experience in the Tier-1 scene. His fnatic stats ranged around 6.4, but against the backdrop of the team’s inconsistent results, he looked confident and often became the best player.
