The group stage of StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2025 will be held in an online format
The organizers of StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2025 have abandoned the group LAN stage and all regional qualifiers. Instead, the only closed online selection in Europe will be held.
It will be held from 13 to 17 August. 16 teams will take part in the VRS rating. The format is a BO3 GSL group with the best eight teams advancing to the final stage. The winners of the exit matches will receive tickets to Budapest.
The StarSeries Fall 2025 LAN playoffs have not changed — it will take place on September 18–21 in Budapest, format: Double Elimination, all matches — BO3. The LAN parts of the tournament will be played by:
- 4 teams from the group stage
- 4 guest rosters according to the global VRS ranking
According to StarLadder, these changes are designed to minimize conflicts with other CS2 tournaments and simplify logistics. Valve has already approved the new format. Earlier this year, StarLadder had already postponed events due to the busy schedule of the season.
