Virtus.pro defeated TYLOO in the opening match of IEM Cologne 2025
Virtus.pro easily defeated TYLOO in the opening match of Stage 1 at IEM Cologne 2025. The meeting ended with a score of 2:0 — on the maps Inferno (13:7) and Overpass (13:5).
The match was held under the full control of Virtus.pro. On the first map, Inferno, chosen by TYLOO, Virtus.pro seized the initiative from the very beginning and did not allow the opponent to develop an attack. Despite the efforts of JamYoung, the Chinese team could not gain the necessary pace. As a result, the first map was won by Virtus.pro with a score of 13-7. The second map, Overpass, was even easier: Virtus.pro had a near-perfect defense, winning the first half 7-5, and then didn’t give up a single round for the attack, ending the game with a score of 13-5.
MVP of the game — Ilya “Perfecto” Zalutsky became the best player of the match, finishing the series with 33 kills and 19 deaths. His ADR was 82.
For TYLOO, this defeat was a step into the lower bracket, where the team will continue to fight for survival in the tournament. In the lower bracket, they will meet against Complexity, who lost to GamerLegion in the parallel match.
IEM Cologne 2025 will be held from July 23 to August 3 in Germany with a prize fund of $1,000,000.
